Jim is a development law specialist and has worked on land issues for over 4 decades. Jim has been a Senior Associate of LEI since 2007. He is passionate about solving customary tenure challenges, particularly those related to commercial agriculture, forestry, urban development, mining leases and infrastructure development where legal pluralism exists and there are system failures in rights recognition for customary owners. Jim is accustomed to conducting legal and policy reviews and carrying out research across difficult terrain, as well as political landscapes.
In spirit of reconciliation, Land Equity International acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea, and community. We pay respects to their Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
