Strengthening government institutions through technical assistance and capacity building.
The objective of this project was to support the recently created General Authority for Land Survey and Urban Planning (GALSUP) to implement their consolidated responsibilities in land registration, public land management, and urban planning. LEI were responsible for strengthening government institutions through technical assistance and capacity building. This included revising and harmonising legislative texts on State Land and Real Estate Law, Land Registration Law and Urban Planning Law and formulating policies on public land management. In addition, the project supported the newly created agency by documenting land registration procedures, clarifying roles and responsibilities, identifying equipment requirements and preparing strategic plans.
LEI were responsible for providing institutional strengthening to the General Authority for Land Survey and Urban Planning.

LEI was also responsible for providing effective management of the project; ensuring outputs were delivered on time and within budget, ensuring project reporting requirements were met, ensuring all contractual requirements were met, ensuring quality assurance was maintained, managing team inputs and managing relations with the Client.
