Work on the Transformative Land Investment project begins

Continuing a long history of engagement in south-east Asia, LEI has recently started a new project with the Department of Lands (DoL) in Laos.

The project, funded by the World Bank and forming a component of the Enhancing Systematic Land Registration Project, will see LEI consultants engaged in the completion of a technical quality audit of the Lao Land Registry information system as well as developing an ICT strategy and action plan.

The commencement of the project serves to illustrate the importance placed by the DoL on the application of new technology. The activities being undertaken by the LEI consultants will form a critical first step towards ensuring an efficient and sustainable deployment of ICT within the Department, offering the possibility of enhanced land-based services and improved tenure security to citizens of Laos.
