Gender and Social Development

A critical step towards sustainable and equitable development is ensuring high participation rates of women, men, youth, elderly, minority groups and other vulnerable groups in society. Understanding the social dynamics and emerging trends of behaviour of people in their local environment is important in informing the most effective approach to transparent and inclusive development. A comprehensive review of cross cutting gender and social development issues can necessitate strategies for educating and empowering women and men to become active voices for project advocacy.
