Community Participation

Successful land administration projects require active community participation and stakeholder involvement throughout the duration of the project, from concept design to end impact evaluations. The involvement of women and other disadvantaged groups is essential to ensure project interventions target the needs of poor and most vulnerable. LEI looks beyond technical fixes to land administration systems and focuses on building community confidence and trust in the land administration sector. Early emphasis is placed on community dialogue, information transparency and developing policies and procedures that are adopted within the community.
